Privacy protection is both our priority and a legal obligation. Purposes and Legal Basis of Data Processing

We offer services and administrative services, as well as public information about our activities on our websites in accordance with Art. 2 para. 6 BayHSchG and Art. 4 para. 1 sentences 1 and 2 BayEGovG. Our social media appearances are part of our public relations efforts. Our goal is to provide target group-specific information and interact with you, pursuant to Art. 2 para. 6 BayHSchG.

We enable quick electronic contact and direct communication via your chosen media, as stipulated in § 5 para. 1 no. 2 TMG. We disclose content, contributions, and inquiries that violate third-party rights or constitute criminal or administrative offenses by forwarding them to the responsible authority or the respective social media service. We block or delete such content.

We use cookies, log files, and statistics from social media providers to generate business statistics, conduct organizational reviews, maintain our web service, and ensure network and information security, in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 BayDSG, § 13 para. 7 TMG, and Art. 11 para. 1 BayEGovG. When possible, we anonymize or pseudonymize personal data to achieve these purposes.

Log Files

When you visit our or other websites, your internet browser transmits data to our web server. The following data is recorded during a running connection between your browser and our web server:

  • Name of the requested file

  • Page from which the file was requested

  • Access status (e.g., file transferred, file not found)

  • Web browser and screen resolution used

  • Operating system used

  • Full IP address of the requesting computer

  • Data volume transmitted

Encryption

Information sent over the internet without encryption can be viewed by others during transmission. This applies to emails and website visits. Therefore, THD web content is transmitted using encrypted HTTPS.

Server Logs

Each access to this website and each retrieval of data is logged by the server. This is done for internal system-related purposes only. The following data is collected:

  • Visited website

  • Time of access

  • Amount of data sent

  • Source/reference from which you accessed the page

  • Browser used

  • Operating system used

  • IP address used

This data is not assigned to specific individuals. We do not merge this data with other data sources. We reserve the right to review this data later if we become aware of specific indications of unlawful use.

Communication

When you contact us via email, post, phone, fax, or social media, the information you provide is processed to handle your inquiry and for possible follow-up questions and exchanges. We use the same communication channel unless you request a change.

Log Files

Personal data in log files is generally stored for a maximum of seven days.

Rights of Data Subjects

According to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

  2. If incorrect personal data is processed, you have the right to correction (Art. 16 GDPR).

  4. If you have consented to data processing or if a data processing contract exists, and if data processing is carried out using automated methods, you may have a right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).

  5. If you exercise your rights as described above, the public authority will verify whether the legal requirements are met.

  6. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Bavarian Data Protection Commissioner.

The processing of your personal data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

The purpose of processing is to conduct events organized by THD.
Legal basis: User consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

Recipients of Personal Data

Personal data is not shared with third parties. It is processed internally by project staff and, if necessary, forwarded to the "Communication and Marketing" department for public relations activities via our social media channels.

Transfer of Personal Data to Third Countries

There is no transfer of personal data to third countries.

Duration of Data Storage

Data is deleted in compliance with legal retention periods: six years for business correspondence and ten years for invoices. If participant data is needed beyond this period to issue duplicate certificates, it will be retained accordingly. If participants consent to the use of their data for marketing purposes or newsletters, the data will be deleted upon withdrawal of consent.
