In this one-day seminar, participants have the opportunity to reflect on and optimise their presentation behaviour in order to be even better prepared for future scientific presentations. The process and structure of a presentation or lecture will be explained and participants will learn the principles of a convincing presentation and rhetorical techniques in a scientific context. Participants will work practically on a prepared scientific presentation and learn how to use appropriate visualisation techniques. Methods for recognising body language, impact and charisma as well as for reducing stage fright will be taught. A further component of the course is voice training, which focuses on voice and speaking style as a means of persuasion.
