  • Degree: Master of Arts (M.A.)
  • Duration: 5 semesters; the 5th semester is dedicated to the master's thesis.
  • Start of studies & application deadline: Next start of studies: March 2020 | Applications are accepted until 15 January 2020. Further information on application can be found below under the tab "Application".
  • Time expenditure of the attendance phases: Block lectures 2-3 times per month on Fridays and Saturdays (Friday from 2 p.m., Saturday all day) The school holidays in Bavaria are mostly lecture-free | Study location: Deggendorf (lectures possible on the outer campus in the Land-Au)
  • Costs: 2,000 €/semester + 52 € student union contribution/semester
  • Information events: There are regular information evenings about the study programme. We present the study programme in detail and are happy to answer your questions.

Target Group

The course of study is aimed at:

  •     Nursing educators as well as educators in the emergency services who would like to further qualify for a master's degree in addition to their profession.
  •     Persons who can present an equivalent degree at home or abroad. The examination board decides on the validity.

The extra-occupational Master's degree course in Vocational Education - Health and Nursing provides graduates with a scientifically sound qualification for teaching, development and management tasks in educational institutions in the health sector.

Admission requirements

  •     Completed Bachelor's degree in Nursing Education or Pedagogy in Rescue Services at a domestic or foreign university with 210 ECTS points
  •     Or a degree that is equivalent to such a university degree. The examination board decides on the validity.

Application Master Vocational Education - Health and Care
The application deadline for the 1st round of the summer semester 2020 is 15 January 2020. You can apply in writing or by email using the application form. Please apply with the following documents:

  •     Tabular curriculum vitae (signed) with passport photo
  •     Copy/scan of the certificate of the first degree
  •     Copy/scan of the university entrance qualification, e.g. school leaving certificate
  •     Letter of motivation (optional)
