The aim of the bachelor's programme is to train computer scientists who are able to work on relevant issues and perform managerial tasks on the basis of information technology, medical, scientific, technical and management-oriented findings in the health sector and in the health economy. The Bachelor's programme in Health Informatics imparts knowledge and skills for designing, developing, configuring and operating information systems for health care and the health industry and for applying them in compliance with legal requirements.

In detail the students acquire:

  •     Comprehensive specialist knowledge in health informatics, which enables them to solve problems directly and to take on management functions in institutions, bodies and organisations in the health care sector and the health economy in a well-founded and responsible manner,
  •     Social and methodological skills that allow them to act confidently and competently in a complex, multi-professional and intercultural environment.
