Hazel's journey to innovation
Hazel came to Pfarrkirchen from India because she wanted a change from her previous life. When she moved here, she was accompanied by her father who attended the orientation day to see where his daughter would be living and studying. They both found the area and the campus to be a beautiful and peaceful place. The people here are very welcoming and Hazel likes that they greet you in the street even if they don´t know you. This sense of welcoming is something she also likes about the ECRI. Even though she comes from far away, she feels very welcome and at ease in the cafeteria as well as in the classrooms.
Since moving to Pfarrkirchen, she has met a lot of like-minded people that she wouldn´t have met if she was still in her comfort zone. That´s why Hazel describes the ECRI as family-like, but also innovative and technology-driven. She values innovative thinking because she believes that everyone has their own creative ideas that should be valued. That´s something that´s encouraged at the ECRI. Hazel also likes that the campus offers extra-curricular activities such as the Host Family Programme, which allows her to learn more about the culture in Bavaria.
