DIT's women's representative

As women's representative of the Deggendorf Institute of Technology, I would like to welcome you warmly. As a young, modern and aspiring university, we feel obliged to create a positive environment for our students, employees and all those who wish to visit us. The aim of the Women's Representative is to give women's issues a higher profile at our university and to be a contact point for professors, teaching staff and students at the university and beyond. Our range of services is intended to help all women at the university to enhance their career opportunities and to promote their opportunities for further education. Such a network can serve as a source of information and contact point for those seeking information, and can also provide a forum in which experiences can be exchanged. Women are also encouraged to strive for academic titles. The university aims to increase the number of female professors and teaching staff. This page and its links contain information on how we aim to address the concerns of our female students in general, and those students who have children in particular. You will find information about the events organised by the Women's Representative and the Career Service programme as well as helpful links and announcements of upcoming events.

Diversity - Anti-discrimination - Equal opportunities

Most often the term Diversity or Diversity is translated with the word "diversity", but there is much more behind it:
It should not only convey a conscious approach to diversity in our society, but also stand for appreciation, cosmopolitanism and tolerance.
The General Equal Treatment Act (AGG) aims to prevent discrimination on the basis of race or ethnic origin, gender, religion or ideology, disability, age or sexual identity.
As a place of research and teaching, our university has the task of addressing diversity and discrimination and raising awareness of diversity and discrimination.

The topics of equality and equal opportunities play a central role at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology. We do not only mean equality of the sexes, but also the equal treatment of people of different nations, cultural and religious origins.

At DIT, diversity is lived through the cultural and social diversity of its students, teachers and employees.

The creation of an unprejudiced study and work environment is of utmost importance for our university.
The Charter of Diversity is an employer initiative to promote diversity in companies and institutions. By signing it, the university wishes to emphasize the importance of this issue.
The aim of the initiative is to promote the recognition, appreciation and inclusion of diversity in the working world in Germany. All members of the university should be valued - regardless of gender, gender identity, nationality, ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age, sexual orientation and identity.

In order to do justice to the many facets of cultural and social background, the individual educational and experiential background and the respective living conditions of our students, we deal with the increasing diversity and offer:

tips and individual support, information and assistance
    Seminar offers
Exchange and networking and, if necessary, a mentor to support you
the possibility to address barriers in the study and develop solutions
