The first ECRIstmas winter ball by RESP e.V. and ITM students
“Sleigh bells ring, are you listening / In the lane, snow is glistening / A beautiful night / We`re happy tonight / Celebrating our winter wonderland.” This is how RESP e.V. and the students of the 7th semester International Tourism Management invited the European Campus to this year’s winter ball. Within the scope of the course Management of Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Events, held by Prof. Dr. Cummings-Koether, the students organized their last winter party.
In a timeframe of eight weeks, location, decoration, food and beverage, sponsoring and legal issues had to be managed. The event took place at Kolpinghaus in Pfarrkirchen on 6th December with a formal dress code according to the theme Winter Wonderland. Jägerstüberl in Bad Griesbach catered the dinner buffet and drinks were provided by the Kolpinghaus. The doors to Winter Wonderland opened at six p.m. with a welcome drink for the guests. Giedre Musijenkaite, one of the International Tourism Management students, held the opening speech and invited Prof. Dr. Kunhardt to speak on the stage. Afterwards, the buffet was opened and while dinner, music was playing in the background. The ECRI band encouraged to dance with classics, current hits and Christmas songs. During their break, Santa Claus arrived with two angels. He talked about love, forgiveness and wished wonderful holidays. During the last three years, a poem about the semester became tradition. After that, the course thanked Prof. Dr. Cummings-Koether for her engagement and the great supervision. To close the winter ball, a DJ played some music and prepared the guests for the after party at club boogaloo.
