technology campus teisnach optics.

institute for precision machining and high frequency technology

The Institute for Precision Machining and High Frequency Technology (IPH) accommodates professors, scientific and technical staff, who evolved from the research group Labor Optical Engineering (LOE) in Deggendorf and the Technology Campus Teisnach. Today, they have access to the laboratories at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology (DIT) and the Technology Campus Teisnach. In contrast to university institutes, we are characterised by our focus on practical orientation and work closely with industry partners.

The IPH focuses on optical technologies, process development and optimisation, metrology and high-frequency technology. The university has acquired these skills over many years and they can thus be used efficiently for partners, economic clients and services. This enables us to offer you high-precision optics, whether spheres, aspheres or freeforms. Thereby we have specialized in single pieces and small series. In addition, we can draw on a wealth of experience in the processing of technical glass, ceramics, crystals and special materials.

Research projects on industry 4.0 also aim at interdisciplinary cooperation between IPH and the research areas of THD. The research group develops scientifically founded and practice-oriented solution strategies in the faculties of DIT and in the eleven Technology Campuses. Marketable, optimised products, processes and services are established in close cooperation with companies in this economic sector.

about the technology campus teisnach

Our mission is to test, further develop and utilise the latest technologies for the production of optical components in cooperation with industry for specific applications.

Our vision is to establish the Bavarian Forest as a highly regarded technology region and to offer attractive jobs to young academics in the region and to bind them to their homeland.

The institute offers companies the opportunity to develop joint solutions with a competent team from Deggendorf Technical University. Our employees are specialised in the field of optical technologies, process development and optimization, measurement technology and manufacturing technology.

Our range of services therefore includes the following tasks:

  •     Project work on behalf and applied research also with participation of the industry in the rooms and at the facilities of the Technology Campus Teisnach and the Technical University Deggendorf.
  •     Experiment execution, measurements and services for the industry on order
  •     Order-related use of existing machines and technologies by industry
  •     Consulting, feasibility studies or joint conception of funded projects
  •     Realisation of seminars and workshops, also on behalf of the industry or within the scope of the use of the Technology Campus Teisnach as demonstration center and conference center
  •     Possibility to carry out Bachelor's and Master's theses, internships, student research projects and dissertations

Are you looking for a challenging and exciting job in a technically oriented research laboratory? Then we look forward to getting to know you. We offer students of DIT the opportunity to do research for their final thesis at the Institute for Precision Manufacturing and High Frequency Technology and to complete it as part of a project.

Postings of bachelor's and master's theses can generally be carried out as an internship. In general, Master's theses can also be completed as Bachelor's theses. We also welcome unsolicited applications from working students, student research projects and bachelor's and master's theses.

If you have any questions, please contact Alexander Haberl.

student project telescope construction:

At DIT, the research focus precision optics has become a tradition. DIT also knows how to convince in the fields of construction, control and measuring technology, optical systems and microelectronics. This insight led to a cross-faculty project.

One topic that is suitable for this is the development and construction of a telescope. The project is divided into several project teams, each of which is responsible for the development and implementation of a telescope module.

In order to ensure the success of the project, the organization of the project will be organized within the framework of the general scientific elective subject (AWP at least 2 SWS) "Telescope Construction". The aim of the AWP is to build a functioning telescope and to teach methodological and social skills.

At the start of the project, a working group is working on the state of the art in science and technology on the subject of Schiefspiegler. This serves together with the very general project specifications of the basic technical definition.

Verantwortliche/Projekt- und Teilprojektleiter:

Lecture AWP: Prof. Dr. Gerald Fütterer

Involved Faculties and Courses of Studies: NuW, Engineering Physics and Industrial Engineering, MB-MK: Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics, EMT: Elektro- und Informationstechnik, AI: Angewandte Informatik /Infotronik

Shortly after the office in Teisnach was opened on 9 October 2009, a group of interested local citizens and representatives of institutions met on 15 January 2010 to found a support association. The aim of the association is to generate financial resources through events to support projects that are neither financed by the state nor by the municipality.

expertise

The Institute of Precision Machining and High Frequency Technology (IPH) at the Teisnach and Deggendorf sites focuses on the pillars of manufacturing technology optics, metrology optics and high-frequency technology/microwave simulation. The latest technologies for the production of optical components are researched on site. Microwave simulations are also being promoted in order to make circuit carriers usable up to a higher two-digit gigahertz range.

An overview of our equipment can be found in the machine database.

In the laboratories of the research group, the entire shaping process chain of optical manufacturing is represented.

projects

Applied research and development at the Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences is carried out in close cooperation with partners from industry. This industry-oriented research of the university differs from the classical basic research in the universities by the emphasis on application and use. For this purpose, special research groups have already been formed in the fields of technology and business in order to bundle competencies, ideas and know-how.

European cutting-edge technology is characterised by intensive cooperation between industry, universities and institutes. At the Deggendorf University of Technology this is taken into account by a wide range of research and development:

  •     Research and development cooperations between companies, institutes and universities
  •     Contract research and development for the SME's
  •     Research within the framework of public funding programmes
  •     Studies within the framework of university projects
  •     Development of innovative technologies, products and ideas
  •     Individual project or cooperation in "clusters
